When sourcing any products there are a whole range of factors to take into account, however, by always following the principles of, Quality, Reliability and Value for money we feel that we can gain an edge on our competitors. So before any product can take on the Asiastar brand name,it must satisfy us that it is the best available combination of the 3 key factors; Quality, Reliability and Value for money.

Quality

Naturally there are some products to which international standards are applied, such as CE approval for electrical safety. Asiastar products must conform to those where necessary. However, we also look deeper, checking return rates and warranty issues with the factories before a product can be selected. We check whether a product already has a good track record in other markets, also whether it is made in a well organised, clean, systematic process. If we are to add our own brand to a product we must start from a position of absolute trust in the factory that is making it.

Reliability

Whilst warranty terms vary from product to product, we know how important it is to you the customer to know that once a product is sold it remains sold. Dealing with customer returns is such an expensive process and not good for anyone involved, so we must ensure to keep returns to an absolute minimum. Our start point in doing this is to always maintain consistency of supply. We promise never to change a product which is sold under the Asiastar brand without advertising the fact first. So if you order an Asiastar charger from us and are satisfied with it, you can rest assured that the next time you order, it will be exactly the same product. We do not fill in our stock shortages, by purchasing in the open market. Asiastar products will also be made to a standard that achieves the maximum lifespan of that product. Our cases for instance will be made to withstand years of heavy use, even though the average life cycle of a typical mobile phone may only be 12 months or so. Before we grant a product the Asiastar brand name we shall already have sold significant quantities and be more than happy with the reliability performance achieved.

Value for money

This does not simply equate to lowest achievable cost. Our aim is to achieve the highest level of customer satisfaction at a price that is viable in the market as a whole. This means that an Asiastar brand product is unlikely to be the cheapest, but it should certainly provide a good potential profit, within a competitive market price. Finally, there is also an ethical strand to all of our sourcing decisions. Factories are always checked against international standards of employee conditions. We always ensure that they do not employ underage workers, or impose unfair sanctions on employees. We try to educate factory managers in the high standards of u.k. health and safety requirements and have been successful in introducing schemes to protect employees in case of fire, or environmental hazards for instance.
